For your information, I live in Iran. Under Islam's ruling. I was brought up to be a muslim. It was successful for many years, until I was the age of 14 I thought more and more about it. I began reading the Q'uran thoroughly and realising that Islam is not the way forward. It is not modern. It conflicts with the rest of the world. I am not happy living in a community which should have went out hundreds of years ago. Homosexuality = Death Penalty? That makes me sick. Adultery? Death Penalty. It may be an extremely hurtful thing to do to someone, but at the end of the day it's an Eye for an Eye - so says the Bible, not an eye for a castration.
Islam is the oppression of women. Many muslim women do not realise that our (my old) messenger, Muhammed, ordered his men to rape, kill, torture and terrorised until they were forced into Islam. That means our great great great great great great great great great great grandmothers were quite possibly raped and beaten repeatededly until they chose Islam as a faith. That is disgusting that we praise and worship a religion which was brought forward in this way.
